About E.A.R.S.
(Endangered Animal Rescue Sanctuary)
Noted as one of the finest Big Cat facilities in the country, this privately run, 31-acre compound is one of my favorite places on earth. This Citra, FL sanctuary is owned and operated by Gail Bowen and Jaye Perrett. The care and compassion given to these majestic animals, as well as the environment in which they live, is truly inspiring.
The park is operated solely by private donations, and proceeds from fundraisers. Cats are available for fundraising events. Please contact EARS for details. There is also a membership program available which allows a family or individual to sponsor a cat. They guarentee that 100% of your donation will be used in support of the animals. These sponsorships contribute greatly to the care and feeding of each of the cats. As a "member", each person is entitled to scheduled days to visit his or her "adopted" cat.
